• To improve the quality of life of the people of Calton, with particular emphasis on economically, socially and educationally disadvantaged groups, [e.g. youth [16-22], nursery, primary & secondary school children, senior citizens] by providing facilities and resources for improved employment, educational, volunteering opportunities and training in sport, recreation and skills in social interaction, and health.

• To improve the physical environment in ways which contribute to a safer and more secure locality.

• To promote educational, training & volunteering opportunities which lead to sustainable employment for local people.

• To improve the health and well being of local residents by the range of services offered.
